Lo Brutto Stahl is pleased to announce Ruf/Simon, the second edition of the gallery’s duo show series Dialogue, featuring the works of Max Ruf & Philipp Simon. Opening on Thursday, March 28, 2024 (6—9pm).

The exhibition is accompanied by a text written by Philipp Simon.

Ruf/Simon runs until Saturday, May 4, 2024.

Max Ruf’s practice is located within the broad field of painting and image culture. He received an MFA from the Royal College of Art in London and lives between Berlin and Lisbon.
Recent solo exhibitions include (Time), Nuno Centeno, Porto, PT (2022); Max Ruf, The Wig, Berlin, DE (2022); Volumen und Kapazität, Die Treppe, Basel, CH (2022); Forward, Union Pacific, London, UK (2019); Allergische Instrumente, Liszt, Berlin, DE (2019).
His work has lately been shown in exhibitions such as Terminus, Spencer Brownstone, New York, USA (2023); Reality Diner, Nuno Centeno, Porto, PT (2023); Mural Sessions 3, Interunité, Geneva, CH (2022); Our interesting Life, Efremidis, Berlin, DE (2022); Max Ruf & Mathew Peers, Lady Helen, Berlin, DE (2021); A room, two rooms, Kunsthalle Freeport, Porto, PT (2020).

Philipp Simon has a broad-based artistic practice that ranges from conceptual works and drawings to writing and sculpture. He received his MFA from the Academy of Art in Berlin (KHB) in 2014.
